October went really well! I was still in a bit of a slump at the beginning of the month, but I got moving again at a good pace later on. It ended up being my second best month yet, with 15,080 words and 6 chapters written. I also managed to maintain my backlog of 12 chapters despite falling down to 11 earlier in the month, so I'm proud of this one.
Again, I think that having a daily goal of 700 words has really helped with this. It's not a requirement that I hit it, but its what I reach for every day. I also started writing on my edit days this month. I release a chapter and write as many words as I can in the morning, and before I go to bed, I edit the next chapter. That gave me another 6 days of writing in the month, which ended up being a big boost in productivity.
Announcements
Aside from writing goals, I also wanted to let you all know that I'm currently working on releasing the first arc of Sprig in print and ebook on Amazon and in other marketplaces. I have hired an editor who should be done with the arc this month. After that, I'll have to work on layout and other logistics. The goal is to have the first arc of Sprig published by the end of the year, but the sooner the better. After that, I'll start working on the second arc.
These are meant to be another way for readers to support the story, but they'll also be a new way to introduce people to the story. Each book is going to have an advertisement at the back pointing readers to this website for more of the story. Since my goal is to write full time, I think this has some great potential to grow the readership and the story, so I'm pretty excited about it. Stay tuned for more details!
